Decorate Hubby's Mini-Bar For Father's Day With Wine Canvas Wall Art And Bar Accessories

Father's Day is just around the corner but it's not to late to surprise your husband with a mini-bar at home. If he enjoys some wine or a glass of scotch after work, he would be pleasantly surprised that you've decorated one corner or side of the den as his spot to relax and unwind.
You can get this project done a week before Father's Day. Get the kids to help you decorate his mini-bar. Make it a family project and joint Father's Day present. You can start by thinking of things you can decorate the mini-bar with. Get ideas from your kids and make a list.
Here are some suggestions that won't cost you a lot:
1. Wine canvas - By hanging some wine canvas on the wall behind the bar, you instantly turn that corner into a mini-bar. Choose small artwork that can fit behind a mini-bar. Choose paintings that depict wine, wine bottles, a vineyard, or old whiskey bottles.
2. Bar stools - Get a couple of bar stools at a home furniture store. All you need are two high stools in front of a small tall counter to give the impression of a mini-bar. You can get them with back rests or just plain stools with seats. The latter ones like tall benches are quite affordable.
3. Beverage glasses - Buy 2 or 4 glasses for each type of drink and hang them on an overhead glass rack for bars. You will need bar glasses such as: scotch glasses, champagne flutes, white wine and red wine glasses, cocktail glasses, and shot glasses. You don't have to get more than a couple just to complete the mini-bar look.
4. Bar counter - You can buy a small bar counter at a furniture store or use a tall table that you already have as a bar counter. Even a tall long free-standing shelve will do. Place the open side inside the bar where bottles and bar accessories can be stored.
5. Bar tools - Get essential bar accessories such as bottle openers, wine openers, snack bowls, glass coasters, straws, stirrers, picks, cocktail shakers, decanters and more. You don't have to buy a full range of bar tools. Just get the basics and the tools your husband uses often. If he is into wine, then you definitely need wine bottle openers. If he drinks scotch, make sure you furnish the mini-bar with an ice bucket and coasters.
Set up the bar when the hubby is away or at work and keep the den off-limits to him till Father's Day. Hang the wine canvas behind the bar, clean all glasses and tools before placing them in their proper places. Surprise him on his special day with his favorite bottle of scotch or wine on the bar's counter.
